Lavandula × intermedia 'Tesseract' (Sensational!®) was discovered in February 2015 as a naturally occurring branch mutation of Lavandula × intermedia 'Niko' (Phenomenal™) at a greenhouse in Bellfonte, PA. It was patented on May 19, 2020 under the patent number PP31,786.
It has been our experience that Lavandula ×intermedia 'Tesseract' (Sensational!®) performs well in our area. It requires full sun and well drained soil. We have found it to be a stronger performer than Lavandula × intermedia 'Niko' (Phenomenal™), with increased vigor and longevity in our area.
